The Practice operates an 'open' consultation system for morning and evening surgery sessions. Patients are seen in order of arrival, normally by their usual Doctor but, to avoid unnecessary delay and during holiday periods patient will be given the opportunity to see another Doctor in the Practice. Patients arriving after 9.30am and 5.30pm (except Thursday pm) may not be able to see their usual Doctor and may be given to the Doctor with the shortest list.
Nurses in the practice will see patients on a 'first come first seen' basis during normal surgery hours for various things such as dressings, suture removal, holiday vaccinations, injection etc.
We endeavor to keep our patients informed of approximate waiting times.
Emergencies and urgent cases are dealt with on arrival with minimal delay. Please inform our Reception staff, so that they can make the necessary arrangements
A doctor will be available for telephone consultations, after morning surgery up to midday and for half an hour prior to evening surgery.
The surgery offers appointments for some specific clinics such as healthy eating, minor surgery, medical and fitness to drive examinations, extended consultations and nurse run clinics.
Appointments for any of the above are at a premium and if you know you are unable to keep an appointment, it is important to inform reception as soon as possible.
